Determined to spend more time with Emily, Patrick’s creativity kicked in. He "discovered" a Starbucks conveniently located on his way to rehearsals and began bringing her coffee each day. What Emily didn’t know? That Starbucks was actually a 15-minute detour—each way. Not stopping there, Patrick also asked Emily to help him with his tap dancing, which was less about perfecting his steps and more about finding any excuse to be around her.

Their first unofficial date came during Evergreen’s rodeo parade. After the event, a group of castmates went out for lunch. Patrick and Emily left the group, grabbed tacos from Fuzzy’s, and spent the afternoon watching The Emperor’s New Groove. It was a day filled with laughter and connection—one they’d always remember as the start of something wonderful.

Over the years, their relationship flourished. Through cross-country trips to Cincinnati for Emily’s nursing school, adventures around the globe, and countless cozy evenings snuggling with their beloved dog Lucy, their bond only grew stronger.
